IMMORTAL COIL: Into the Crypt

Single-player, third-person action RPG. Vampire Kai battles Nosferatu Vampires and feasts on blood orbs to get back to his Crypt.

The immortal Vampire Kai needs to get back to his crypt before sunrise, but hordes of deadly Nosferatu vampires have invaded the cemetery. Help Kai to battle the monsters and replenish his blood supply by collecting enough blood goblets and unlock the gates to the crypt.

Available for download on Windows. Support for Android and iOS is coming soon (most likely in September).

This is part of a larger series and we will release a new game every two months (see below for a preview of the next installment). Each version of the game will undergo several patch updates and level extensions, adding more loot items, more weapons, improved inventory system and new quests. Gameplay:

•  Collect 60 Blood Orbs and the Crypt will be unlocked.
•  You have 4 Minutes before the sun rises or you will be dust.
•  If you get killed by the Nosferatus, you will have to start again.

The immortal vampire Kai needs to get to his crypt before sunset. In order for the crypt to be unlocked, he has to collect at least 60 blood orbs.  

 He needs to fight off the viscously attacking Nosferatus.  

 

There are three ritual sites where you can get potions to be used to improve your health and stamina, as well as an ancient stone circle with weapon loot (coming up).

A timer will count down the time to sunrise and if you haven’t entered the crypt by then, you will be dead, and you will have to restart the level (although technically, Kai is an immortal vampire).

Once you collected the 60 blood orbs, the crypt will light up as active and you can enter into the dungeon. There you will face deadly spiders and a ferocious werewolf protecting the entrance to Kai’s sarcophagus (coming up). 

Win this last boss fight, and you can enter Kai’s crypt and let him rest (at least until the sun goes down again).

Input system:

The game can be played with both a keyboard and an Xbox Controller.

• Mouse left-Weak Attack
• Mouse right-Strong Attack

Disclaimer: 

This is my very first published game, I'm a solo dev and I would compare version 1.0 to an early access version, so be kind until everything is at a top level. This version is stable and functional and should give you about 15 minutes of atmospheric and heart-pumping game play. The first patch (V1.1) will go up with about a week. With the purchase price, you will receive all the updates below. The final version of this should give you over 1 hour (or more) of gameplay, depending on how much time you’ll spend on the quests.

System Requirements:

The game is not huge, but still works best on a gaming PC with an RTX or Radeon card. I did test it on my Lenovo laptop with a generic GPU and encountered slight frame dropping and performance issues. It played beautifully on my i7-13700K, RTX 4070 on Windows 11.

Immortal Coil is Gothic Vampire soulslike game and webtoon. This is the story of the vampire Kai and the land of Therondia...

Kai, short for Kaisopol, is a royal, immortal vampire who is being targeted by the soul-eating demon Necrocorvo. The evil beast is holding Kai's consort Cirice captive in the castle Frosthaven. Necrocorvo has grown tired of feasting on human souls and wants to capture a vampire's immortal soul. Kai has to go on a quest through Therondia to confrom the powerful demon and be reunited with his beloved without running out of blood.

The quest will see him pass the former capital of Moorholm, reclaim the powerful Sword of Skjaligrim from the lake of tears, necessary to give him the strength to confront Necrocorvo. He has to move through the dark Rabenwald, full of dangerous beasts and creatures, pass the pits to hell and make his way up into the snowy mountains of Therondia where the demon's lair, Frosthaven, lays.

About the Creator:

David Boller was born in Switzerland and graduated from the Joe Kubert School in New Jersey. He worked for many of the largest comic book and game publishers like Marvel, DC Comics, Eidos continues to create games, anime and graphic novels. David is also the artist on the classic Legacy of Kain: Soulreaver comic book, and worked with John Romero on the ill-fated Daikatana game comic books.
